2 Stars False Advertisement
I am disappointed in the Elmo doll I ordered for my niece. I ordered the “large” Elmo doll. But, my first impression is that it is really small. Maybe 13″. But I ordered the 15″.
Now I am looking at the product/customer images for this doll. It does NOT look like the ones depicted. If anything, click on the customer images and look at Pic 7/7. The last pic posted is what I received. Elmo’s mouth is closed, and his complexion is a flashier red.
I wish I had gotten the Elmo with the wide happy mouth rather than this small one. The eyes are hard plastic. For some reason I thought the eyes would be safe and soft for children. My niece loves big eyes and I am honestly afraid she may hug this one too hard and hurt her mouth.
I bought this as a Christmas gift and it is too late to return.
I am disappointed.
Do not fall for the fake pics.
3 Stars Please note: smaller than you think
I just received this Elmo today via UPS. He is MUCH smaller than he appears in all those pictures that other users have posted. The only thing I can think of is that they confused this Elmo with the 20 inch, larger Elmo. He’s only about 8 inches sitting. He fit into a box that measures 3 x 7 x 10. Not near as big as I thought he was going to be. I am returning this one and ordering the 20 inch Elmo instead. Will post my review about that one once it arrives. On a more positive note, he is absolutely adorable! Very soft and shaggy, just like the real Elmo. = )
5 Stars Perfect “no frills” Elmo!
We ordered this as a birthday present for my son’s 2 year bday. It was shipped quickly and the company even wrapped it in red tissue paper.
When my son opened the box he was so excited! He gave Elmo a big hug and kiss and then played with Elmo for over an hour. He used the tissue paper as Elmo’s “blanket” and the box as his “bed” and kept saying Night night to Elmo.
I am sure we will get alot of use from this toy. He is well made, soft and the perfect size for a toddler to tote around. My six year old wanted to play with it too!
I hope Gund makes a similar cookie monster, we will order that next!
2 Stars larger Elmo?
I just recieved the new larger sized Elmo. It costs $8.00 more than the smaller one and it is only 2 inches larger. It is not at all what I was expecting. I think the pictures and the add were miss leading there was not a inch size written so it seemed that it was going to be much bigger. I will keep it because my grandaughter loves Elmo but I will look at the facts closer next time I order something from your website.

I thought this Elmo would be a little bigger, but when my son carried it around I realized its the perfect size. He recognizes Elmo on tv and runs to grab his Elmo. No complaints, its great if you just want elmo that does nothing but snuggles with your little one.
