well, to those whom appear to have trouble with this. the solution is simple. if the analog joystick continues to stick you may not have the screws on tight enough and should tighten them before giving a review such as the ones posted before mine.
4 Stars just when you think it couldn’t be found…………..
I would have to say that just when you think that this little analog joystick couldn’t be found that’s when Amazon.com comes through with the gadget to get your PSP up and playing again. I actually bought it for my nephew but when he could not find it anywhere on the sites he tried looking for it, I logged into my Amazon.com profile and typed in the name and viola!!! there it was ready for me to purchase. Amazon.com came through and the item has been put to good use by my nephew. His old PSP Joystick analog assembly kit just stop working as it should and when I bought it for him and it finally arrived, he was very excited and happy because he can now “Play his PSP that he did not play for about six months”.
4 Stars Replacement part that works well.
When the original joystick assembly on my PSP broke, I looked around online and found that it was relatively easy to replace yourself. I ordered this part and then followed the online instructions to a T. Ever since then, my PSP has been working flawlessly. Its not much of a “toy” in and of itself, but it does its job VERY well.

This joystick failed on me 1 week after purchasing especially with the extremely expensive shipping, I regret buying this. I havent used my PSP ever since September 29, 2009 because it just does the same crap my other busted one did. Move downward on its own. Do not recomment buying this.

I looked up online how to take the PSP apart. My 16 year old followed the directions, and replaced the joystick by himself.
He likes the fact that the stick of the button (included) can be removed - as the original PSP version broke off, and made it unusable.
I bought some extra buttons for the joystick just in case.. but so far it is working well, and my son has his PSP back!
