5 Stars Very nice!
Tan elite is very nice. Plus the gravity lift smokes.
Affordable way of increasing your Halo 3 collection!
Great!
5 Stars Best Elite soldier with combat armor!!!!!!
He’s great!!!!! He’s the only figure I have that has the Carbine coming with it for now. I have 9 in total. I almost lost the Carbine when I was playing Halo with my G.I. Joe tank. Anyways, it is great and the helmet comes off, not the whole head like the Spartans. Anyways, my collection involves this figure, the series 1 Master Chief, the series 2 Master Chief, the series 2 Arbiter, the series 3 white EVA spartan, the series 3 light green EOD spartan, the series 3 Brute Chieftain, and the series 3 red CQB spartan.
3 Stars Not for KIDS!!
My six year old loved the look of the Halo action figures. He had it out of the packaging for no more than five minutes before he attempted to twist the head and it broke off. On inspecting the other joints I found many of them to be tight and subject to breakage. The soft material that it is made from does not lend itself to ball and joint articulation. As a showpiece these are excellent, beautifully detailed and painted, but they are NOT TOYS!! They a collectors pieces for adults.
3 Stars I really don’t like McFarlane Toys
With a title like that, I could honestly go on for hours.
Alright, the short of it is as follows. The McFarlane Toys Halo line is not know for durability. The joints on the Elites are far better than the Spartans and Humans, but the feet are awkwardly designed, making him prone to falling over. Also, his left hand broke within seconds of me taking him out of the box. It’s because the plastic on the finger joint, to move his hands a bit is thin and like all thin plastic with the Halo line, it’s prone to breaking.
I do like that the helmet can come off, revealing his unarmored head. Oh, also. The weapon and the little accessory are both well designed, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get him to hold the gun. I look at the stock photo and the nature of the fingers make that position a physical impossibility. I usually just have it on his back, but he falls over a lot. However, he fell once and landed on the peg, driving it back into him. At first I tried to remove it, but it seems the hole in his back is more than double the length of the peg. Why? Why would you do that? It’s just asking for it to get lost in there.
Anyway, it’s kind of neat. A bit more for display that play, even though he has a hard time standing. Not a stand-alone piece, but better in a collection. Maybe if you get a few other Halo toys, you can get a gun this guy can actually hold.
