Easy for Children to Use
The durable Tag Reader is cleverly shaped like a pen, with the optical reader at the tip. It’s easy for children to operate independently and the pen fits well into small fingers. The lightweight Reader has a built-in speaker in the front for clear sound with volume control buttons located below the speaker. The adjustable volume ranges from very soft to loud. Your child can also use the Reader with headphones (not included).
An adult can help pry open the flaps that hide the headphone plug and USB port. There’s also a handy audio book feature — perfect for traveling — that plays aloud an entire story. The battery is securely placed behind a screw-locked compartment for safety.
Advice to parents: the optical reader is exposed at the tip of the Reader so be sure to keep liquids away from it.

The sample full-size book comes conveniently pre-loaded onto the Tag Reader. Additionally, 10 books can be loaded onto the Reader giving children the opportunity to switch back and forth between different books with ease. 5 Stars A perfect gift for my daughter
Purchased this for my daughter who is a pre-reader. She loves that you can listen to the story or go word by word. There is a good selection of books for the reader.

Easy to use and upload books. Got a great price on Amazon plus many books and a case to go with it. I purchased for my 3 year old and she is already enjoying the books. It is recommended for 4+ years but she is able to hold the pen where she wants plus read and play the games. I suggest checking out the reviews of the books to purchase the ones that are easy to understand and fun. I would also suggest buying this one that holds 10 books instead of the older version that only holds 5. Even though it is new and we haven’t used it much yet, it looks like it will be a great start to learning to read. It is amazing how the pen will pick up anything on the page and make a sound that goes with it.

I got this for my 2 1/2 year old daughter and she loves it. My 4 year old son has this also and loved it and she wanted to play with it all of the time so we got her one.

Great educational gift. Nothing in the market compares so far. Easy to download stories, and easy for Preschooler to use.
2 Stars Broken after 4 days of soft play - don’t know how it got such good durability reviews from so many.
Power supply shot on the reader I got for my daughter for Christmas by Dec 28th.
Only help on the website is “Use fresh non-rechargeable batteries” but that didn’t work.
I give it a 5 for educational value based on its potential, not on actual results.
