What I am noticing is they are becoming less well made and harder to

2 Stars Hard to transform!
I bought this product for my 8 year-old son. We are very frustrated with the printed directions from Hasbro on how to transform the toy out of Robot Mode. There are no words, simply black and white photos that don’t make a whole lot of sense. Very frustrating!

Kids like these and my nephew was delighted with it. But he had problems with one part continually coming off. It didn’t bother him as he said they are easy to put back together. So yes, I was pleased with this except that by description I thought it was bigger than it was - my mistake though as I learned.

From the moment OPTIMUS PRIME took Earth as a new home for himself and his people, he was rededicated to its protection. Since that day, he has focused all of his considerable will and power on rooting out the last few DECEPTICONS and destroying them. To that end, he has upgraded and refined his sensor suite, and trained with IRONHIDE in tracking the evil robots. Prepare to do battle AUTOBOT style! Gear up with the good guys and fire either of two missiles from this mighty leader’s firing cannons in robot mode. Or convert to tough truck mode turn the smokestack into cannons! Either way, you’re armed for battle! The only question is ¿ are you ready?

5 Stars Great Service
We got the toy in mich sooner then we thought. My son was and still is very happy with it.

Thank You

2 Stars Not as durable as the other figures
This is the last of several Transformers that my son has received for his birthday this year and by far my least favorite. After helping him with Starscream, Sidewinder, Demolisher, and Bumblebee I expected the same quality and engineering that was put into the other models. This is not the case with this model of Optimus Prime. I am disappointed with the cheapness of the plastic, the tolerance of the assembly, and the general letdown of getting a cheap toy when I expected a bit more. The other models feel sturdy in your hand and have a heavier gauge of plastic and also have more connection points that hold the models together once transformed. This model does have some cool features but overall is just not as good as the others. I would recommend the more expensive model for the older kids as it can handle more abuse and the gravity assist line for the younger kids as they transforms by themselves.

1 Stars Cheap
This is a terrible toy, the parts kept falling off and wouldn’t stay on and it was very difficult for him to turn the toy into the truck and into Optimus Prime. It was a waste of money.

4 Stars A good facsimile and more durable than expected
I bought this for my five year old son. I was concerned that it was too complicated and too fragile but he had his little heart set on getting Optimus Prime and the only other model costs twice as much. Well both concerns turned out unfounded. After a little bit of initial help, Jack was soon converting it from robot to truck and back without any help - it really wasn’t that complicated but kudos on the overall sophistication of the toy for the price. In terms of durability, well parts do tend to fall off - particularly the smoke stacks, the feet and these red flaps on the arms. But fortunately they snap right back on and seem none the worse. It seems that the toy was designed to give on pre set snap joints rather than breaking - kudos again for the design folks. I don’t want to overstate the quality - I am sure it will break in time, almost all toys do, but it survived the first week with a whole lot of play and my son is very happy spending a lot of time with opimus prime.

1 Stars bad quality.
I bought the same exact toy from marshalls’ (home good) store, got it for 14.99 and i have to say that i didnt like how the toy transforms, my 3yrs old son is crazy fan for transformers so i hoped this will atleast last for a week, it only last for a day and everything started to fall apart. im not sure if its supposed to be like, easily falling aparts. but yeah, you can find this at marshalls’ goods for a great price compare here.

Rebuilt with parts cannibalized from other DECEPTICONS, MEGATRON rises once again to lead his army. Though the AllSpark destroyed him once, he can now feel its power coursing through his circuitry. It calls him to seize his rightful place as ruler over the puny planet on which he was imprisoned and destroyed, and from which he will launch his conquest of the universe. OPTIMUS PRIME® is all that stands between him and victory, and the AUTOBOT® leader has done a poor job of hiding himself. At long last, MEGATRON knows exactly where his enemy is, and he has power enough to destroy him.

Prepare for an exciting battle with this DECEPTICON leader! In robot mode, this mighty warrior features electronic speech and light-up eyes and chest that give away his diabolical intentions. And with a flip-out sword, this bad guy is ready to give AUTOBOT forces the fight of their lives! In tough alien tank mode, a firing fusion cannon and blasting sounds lets attackers know this villain means business. MECH ALIVE gearing reveals moving armor panels and internal gears so you can recreate some of your favorite movie scenes â or create your own! Grab this fearsome foe and roll out!

User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Cool Transformer but could be constructed better
This is definitely a nice robot with nice sound effects. The only problem is that while transforming Megatron into a tank the black tab on one side does not lock into its socket. We returned the first toy for another but the second has the same problem. I am going to take a Dremel to the joint that causing the problem and see if that corrects the problem.

4 Stars Transformers are fun for adults too!
This was a gift for my fiance and he was very happy with Megatron. He added this transformer to his collection.

5 Stars Is Megatron a Mega-Toy?
I’m a little late to the party on Revenge of the Fallen Megatron. He wasn’t in my top list of picks but I picked him up on a whim and put him though the paces. In ROTF old Megatron is back in action thanks to a little Decepticon cannibalism at the bottom of the ocean and has been upgraded with treads.

For Kids:

Giant robot, giant gun, giant tank, lights and sounds, shooting projectile, transformer… I see no negatives here for a kid to have a blast with Megatron. Not to mention he has a sleek alien cool look to him. If your kid liked the movies at all or just likes cool toys I’d say this guy’s a sure bet. His transformation is easier than it looks like it would be as well and with a little demonstration a kid should get it.

For Adults:

The improvement to the robot form here over the movie one version is on par with what was done with Optimus Prime and Starscream. He looks much sleeker, less clunky and more screen accurate than his movie one counterpart. Also, his redesign into a more tank like being as opposed to a jet like being gives him a much tougher look. I’m impressed with the detail and looks of his legs this time around. The foot treads look really cool. The more robust nature of his legs and feet allow for deep and impressive posing. His right arm is a humongous gun - seriously it’s huge - while his left is a spindly little thing with long fingers. That’s not to say it looks bad but it does look a little funny in comparison to his tank gun arm.

While never as much as there could be what paint is here is clean and looks good. He’s molded in a light grey to approximate silver. The treads are black and there is some black paint to point out some details of his face like his tiny sharp teeth. There’s a pretty good amount of detail painted into the machinery in the treads. His eyes and some areas under his chest are clear red.

The transformation (especially compared to Optimus) is almost a piece of cake. In very simplified terms it involves swinging his arms back and around (the big gun may pop off during transformation but easily pops back on), tilting his legs correctly and flattening them out into the tank treads, moving the jets to the back of the tank and clicking the gun in place then finishing off with little detail flips and clicking tabs as usual.

Tank mode looks great. It’s an alien looking affair but not so crazy looking as to be unidentifiable. The layout of the treads gives it an interesting look and the jets at back make you think this is one tank that could set some land speed records. If the gun could rotate it would be the only improvement I can think of.

Action features include three sounds - A gun firing sound as you move the gun arm around or fire it from tank mode, a transformation sound during the leg part of transformation and of course, “I AM MEGATRON!” in a booming voice as you push the lever in his chest down. Pushing the lever causes the gears in his chest to move and bright red lights to flare in his chest and eyes. He has a shooting projectile and the back of the gun can swing forward and at the push of a button a sword pops out.

I have to say this is a better looking and much more fun toy than I expected. I have to be fair and say there is nothing that bothers me about this guy. Usually there’s something - some aspect of the look or paint or the difficulty of transformation - that’s not the case here so I have no reason not to give him five stars.

4 Stars MegaFun
My son loved this toy, and its complexity stimulate the learn and the creativity.

On the “transformation” feature, at the other hand, the “locks” and “fits” could be a little hard some times, but overall, it’s a nice big robot.

4 Stars Great looking Megatron model!
So I bought both this and the Optimus Prime figures. Both are fantastic looking and both are potentially a bit of a pain to transform, particularly if you’re in the recommended age group….5 year olds would definitely have some trouble here.

But the Megatron figure is significantly easier to transform than Optimus. I will give it that. There are a few things that annoy me, though. Some of the parts just don’t feel quite as solid as I might like. For example, the legs are supposed to snap into the body, but mine did not snap so tightly and kept popping out with the slightest touch. Also, the legs and arms don’t have enough articulation to make them easily posable, particularly compared to Optimus Prime which is quite strong in that suit.

The good, however, easily outweighs any annoyances on this figure. Megatron looks great in both modes and the cannon feature is great. I also really like the voice they gave him. Very menacing. It’s a very well made toy and an impressive piece of engineering. Recommended for everyone!

5 Stars Perfect&Awesome toy for Christmas.
This made my sons Christmas perfect. He also recieved Bumblebee, and Sideswipe. He also got the Construction Devastator which is very nice. THis figure shines through robot mode. The Arcee figure looks like its a fake toy but still ok. And The Mikaela fig. just looks the best it could have been bec. of its size. But its a really nice toy.

5 Stars Transformers
Cool toy… It’s a christams present and I am sure my son is going to love it. All of the transformers are fun toy to play. you can go wrong with the price.

5 Stars Excellent
I bought this because I love the Human Alliance Bumblebee figure. As it turns out, the Human Alliance Skids figure is even better. The car mode is okay. It would be great, except that the doors don’t have a way to lock into place when they are closed in car mode. Therefore, the doors may or may not align properly with the rest of the car, and can feel a little bit loose. I would rate the car mode a “9″.

Where the figure really shines though, is in the robot mode. It is incredibly detailed, and extremely poseable. The transformation is really complicated, but also a lot of fun. After I transformed him the first time, it took a while for me to pose him in a way that I liked, but once I figured it out, it looks extremely good. I think overall, it actually looks better than the Human Alliance Bumblebee figure. The one thing I didn’t like about the Human Alliance Bumblebee figure is that if you turn him around and look at him from the side, there is a huge gap in the middle. This isn’t the case with Skids. One thing that people don’t like about this figure is that it has door wings, while the CGI didn’t. Initially it bothered me, but now that I’m used to it, it doesn’t bother me at all. I rate the robot mode a “10″.

The Arcee motorcycle figure looks like crap in robot mode, so I just keep it in the motorcycle mode, which is actually decent. The Mikaela figure is okay. I think it’s about the best that can be done, giving how small it is. It is extremely poseable though, and it does complement the Sam figure nicely. In any case, you’re probably just getting the set for the Skids figure anyway, and the Skids figure, as I said, is excellent!

I recommend this purchase!

The ultimate Decepticon weapon has arrived on Earth, and nothing will ever be the same. Constructicon Devastator is the biggest robot, ever - towering above Autobots and Decepticons alike. As his Vortex Grinder snaps open and glows with power, all before him quake in fear, knowing the destruction is inevitable! One of the biggest Transformers toys ever made, the Constructicon Devastator brings the power of the Decepticons to your home. Having appeared in the summer blockbuster Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Devastator can disassemble into six, smaller, fully functional Transformer vehicles. With its motion-activated sounds and movie-accurate detail, this toy is a must-have for any Transformers collector, ages five years and older.

At over a foot in height, Devastator is one of the largest Transformers toys ever made.

   Your Own Transformers Experience
Staying true to the movie, Devastator is massive, standing well over a foot in height and dwarfing most other Transformers toys. He is a solid, heavy, and well-built toy. Pulling a lever on his chest causes his mouth (called the Vortex Grinder) to light up with bright, neon-green LED lights. The lever also triggers battle sounds and quotes taken straight from the movie.

Devastator isn’t the most flexible toy around. Because of his size, he can be a bit cumbersome to play with. However, his elbows and knees are articulated, which makes him easier to position and balance. He also has realistic details, which gives him value as a collector’s replica.

Devastator consists of six smaller construction vehicles: the Constructicons. These detailed vehicles are painted in earthy colors suited for their rough construction jobs. Together, the Constructicons form a complete construction team. There is a bulldozer, a dump truck, an excavator, a scoop loader, a mixer and a crawler crane. They prove to be very maneuverable on a hard surface, able to make hairpin turns easily. However, it should be noted that, unlike their film counterparts, these vehicles do not transform into robots individually.

  An Enjoyable, Challenging Assembly
Devastator might be one of the biggest transformers around, but it’s also one of the most difficult to put together. Parents should be aware that the Devastator requires some degree of finesse to assemble — and in some cases, strength. Some of the snapping parts are especially tricky to connect together, and prove difficult to pry apart. The toy is labeled as a Level 4 conversion, so younger children will have difficulty converting the toy by themselves. It took our tester (an experienced Transformer player) nearly 15 minutes to figure everything out. Still, putting the toy together should provide a constructive challenge for older kids.

4 Stars Good product
This toy was a gift for my 7 year old son. It’s pretty impressive and seemingly well made. It really, REALLY needs an ON/OFF switch! The pieces are fairly easy for my son to transform himself, but he has a little difficulty snapping the limbs onto the body as it takes a bit of force.

Overall it’s a good product.

4 Stars Devastator!
I purchased this during a sale on Amazon.com. Thank goodness! Since it is 6 transformers combined into one, it is more expensive. It is definately the largest transformer my son has, and the heaviest. It does have some difficulty standing up, because its center of gravity is off. None the less, my son likes it very much, and if he’s happy, I’m happy!

5 Stars Devastator for Christmas
When I first heard that hasbro is making the devastator toy from the film i said to myself that it wont be sold in any store in my location. well i was wrong. when i first seen it at my local wal-mart, i was shocked that it was available in my location. since i saw it i wanted it!

PROS

-having it is a pro all in itself

-transforming the vehicles into the “body parts” can be done without the instructions, which is saying alot (if you own other transF. from the movies you know what i mean)

-devastator is a great collector to have for a transF. fan!

CONS

-unfortunately it does have some. first off, i recomend you take the batteries out of mixmaster because he is more sensitive than a fire alarm( he is always going off at the slightest touch). sure the sounds go great with the toy but not with your patience or low annoyance level

-this really isnt a con but its sad that devastator requires you to put six vehicles together in order to form devastator and you expect it to be extremely hard but its not, the con here is that transforming the leader class optimus prime is practically a rubix cube compared to combining devastator

3 Stars grandsons dream toy
wasn’t as complicated for my son to put together. does not stand up straight, which I was aware of. at least grandson has six x-tra trucks to play with! thought after reading reviews prior to purchase that this was a toy that would not be played with but put on a shelf and looked at. Oh yeah, one of the back hoe bucket broke off.

5 Stars Transformer Construction Devastator
My grandson was THRILLED when he opened this on Christmas! He’s been asking for this toy for months & I was “bound & determined” to get it for him! I was very happy with the price on Amazon & was thrilled with the free shipping. Plus, it only took 3 days to get to me…that was the best of all!

3 Stars tween twilighter: bracelet is O.K.
FYI, the photo on the website does not match the product. the bracelet is MUCH darker burnished grey/pewter silver color. the ratings for how much fun and educational value do not apply IMO. the bracelet itself is grey PLASTIC but the charms are heavier metal. the charms are cool, the bracelet part not so much. a more complete description would be fairer to purchasers of this bracelet or ones like it. my tween twilighter is undecided–will probably return it.

Thanks to this soother, baby teethes without pain. The ring is filled with water and can be placed in the refrigerator. The cold anaesthetizes the pain of teething. Light and easy to grip thanks to its ring shape. Phthalates and BPA free. For babies from 3-6 months and up.

2 Stars Too big for baby
This teether is cute and looks like it would be great, but it is too heavy or awkward for my baby to hold up to her mouth. My daughter is of average size and strength and according to her doctor has very good hand eye coordination, but this teether she cannot manage at all. I will keep trying and report back if anything changes.

3 Stars Not great for really little ones.
My daughter started teething at two and a half months, and unfortunately, this Vulli was not very useful for a baby of that age. Since the teething ring is on the top, your kid has to be coordinated enough to hold the bottom, and aim the teething part into his/her mouth. Since my daughter was so young, she almost never aimed the teether properly and really never got the teether part into her mouth. I like that this product is phthalate free, which is the primary reason I bought it.

1 Stars WEIRD. GREEN PART IS SOLID. I TESTED IT. HURT FOR 2 DAYS.
The clear water filled part is soft plastic or possibly silicone. but doesn’t fit the kids mouth, too big. good in a way, this way he can’t swallow it. The green part is solid hard plastic. I don’t know what purpose does it serve. I didn’t know it was solid, I bit it and my teeth hurt for two days. I was of course testing it before giving it to my kid. He is a very smart kid. He has no interest in this item. Neither do I. Hmmmmmmmm !!!.

4 Stars Super Teether!
This is a smart teether because not only can it be chilled down for my son’s sore gums, he can hold it without getting his hand wet (or mine). It’s a nice size for his mouth. We have been happy to add it to our collection of teethers!

4 Stars Good teether
I bought this product because it was safe - BPA free etc.. My son likes it and likes to look at the face on it. He can grab the wring or handle so it is easy to grip. The one thing I didn’t like at first was that the green part is hard and he was a little likely to bang himself in the face with it. He is now seven months so has a little more coordination so that is no problem. I put it in the fridge or freezer and it gives him a nice cool ring to bite for teething relief.
